Consultation & Follow-up – Information for Patients

What’s included in a Consultation (Initial or Follow-up)

  • Detailed medical and gynaecological history

  • Discussion of symptoms, treatment options and next steps

  • Physical examination as appropriate (bimanual and/or speculum)

  • Review of previous results (for follow-ups)

  • Written summary and treatment plan if required

What’s not included (charged separately)

  • Ultrasound scans (pelvic, transvaginal, or abdominal)

  • Laboratory tests and swabs (HPV, vaginal swabs, STI screening, blood tests, smear-HPV testing)

  • Minor procedures, such as:

    • Insertion or removal of intrauterine device (coil/IUD)

    • Vaginal cleaning / simple treatment procedures

    • Cervical polyp removal, cautery or biopsy

  • Medications or prescriptions (charged at pharmacy cost)

Any additional tests or procedures will be discussed in advance and fees will be confirmed before proceeding.

  • Review of previous results (for follow-ups)

  • Written summary and treatment plan if required

What’s not included (charged separately)

  • Laboratory tests (blood tests, urine tests, swabs, cultures, etc.)

  • Imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT – if arranged privately)

  • Specialist referrals (any subsequent specialist consultations are charged separately by the provider)

  • Minor procedures, such as:

    • Wound cleaning and dressing changes

    • Ear syringing / irrigation

    • Vaccinations and injections

  • Medications or prescriptions (charged at pharmacy cost)
