Seeing a Greek-speaking doctor in London
Do both doctors speak Greek?
Yes. Dr Anastasia Mermigka, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, consults in Greek, English and Italian. Dr Georgios Schoinas, our private GP, consults in Greek, English and Bulgarian. You can have the whole consultation in Greek.
Is Dr Mermigka an obstetrician as well as a gynaecologist?
Yes, she is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. At AristoGP she sees women for gynaecology and for early pregnancy scans up to 12 weeks.
Can I see a Greek-speaking GP as well?
Yes. Dr Schoinas sees adults for everyday GP care, including infections, long-term conditions, health checks, prescriptions, sick notes and referrals. A private GP appointment is £150.
Do I need a referral?
No. If you are paying yourself you can book directly, without a referral from your NHS GP and without registering with the clinic.
How much does it cost?
A private GP appointment is £150. A gynaecology consultation is £200, or £300 with a pelvic ultrasound in the same visit. All fees are published in advance.
