Men's Health Checks — AristoGP

Men’s Health London — Private GP with Dr Schoinas

Men are significantly less likely than women to attend a GP until a problem becomes impossible to ignore. A dedicated men’s health appointment at AristoGP gives you 30 minutes with Dr Georgios Schoinas to discuss any aspect of your health in a straightforward, confidential setting. No waiting lists, no rushed appointment.

What a Men’s Health Appointment Can Cover

  • Testosterone and male hormones: Fatigue, reduced libido, loss of muscle mass and difficulty concentrating can all be signs of declining testosterone. Dr Schoinas assesses your symptoms and advises which investigations are appropriate and where to arrange them.
  • Prostate health and PSA: Dr Schoinas discusses whether PSA testing is appropriate for you, and reviews existing PSA results in the context of your age, symptoms and risk factors.
  • Cardiovascular risk: Blood pressure, family history, smoking, weight and lifestyle are assessed and a ten-year cardiovascular risk score calculated, using any recent cholesterol results you already have.
  • Erectile dysfunction: A common and treatable condition that is often a marker of wider cardiovascular or hormonal issues. Dr Schoinas assesses underlying causes and discusses treatment options confidentially.
  • Weight and metabolic health: BMI and lifestyle review for men who have noticed weight gain that is harder to shift with age.
  • General health concerns: Any symptom or question you have been putting off discussing with a doctor.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral?

No. Book directly at AristoGP. No registration required and you do not need to leave your NHS GP.

Can I have blood tests?

Yes. Blood is not taken at the clinic itself, but Dr Schoinas can request the tests you need from our laboratory, The Doctors Laboratory (TDL). You have your blood taken at TDL Patient Reception, 76 Wimpole Street, W1 (walk-in, Monday to Saturday), and the results come back to Dr Schoinas. We recommend a follow-up GP appointment with Dr Schoinas (£120, within 6 weeks) to go through the results together. If anything needs prompt attention, he will contact you directly.

How much does a men’s health appointment cost in London?

A men’s health GP appointment at AristoGP costs £150. Blood tests and other investigations, if needed, are charged separately. No referral is needed.

What happens after the assessment?

After your assessment, the doctor will explain the findings and guide you on the most appropriate next steps. Depending on what is found, this may include monitoring, further tests, a prescription, treatment we can offer at the clinic, or referral to another specialist or service. Not every condition can be treated at AristoGP, and an appointment does not guarantee a particular treatment or prescription.
