What happens in a consultation
1. Booking
Book online or by WhatsApp. Same-day appointments are usually available. You do not need an NHS referral, and you do not need to be registered with the clinic.
2. The consultation
Face to face at Portpool Lane. History, examination where needed, and a clear explanation of the likely diagnosis.
3. Tests
Most results come back within one to three working days and are explained to you in plain language, not just handed over.
4. Afterwards
Private prescriptions, sick notes and specialist referral letters issued at the appointment where appropriate. With your consent I write to your NHS GP so your record stays joined up.

Experience
Training and background
I qualified in medicine and spent the early part of my career in emergency and acute medicine before moving into general practice. I worked as a GP consultant in the Greek national health system, and I have now spent over seven years as a GP in the UK NHS alongside private practice in London.
That mix matters in a private consultation. Emergency medicine teaches you to recognise the small number of presentations that need acting on quickly. General practice teaches you to manage the far larger number that do not, without over-investigating people or sending them away with nothing.

Questions patients ask
Do I need a referral or NHS registration to see you?
No. You can book directly with me. You do not need a referral from your NHS GP, and booking a private appointment does not affect your NHS registration in any way.
How much does an appointment cost?
A private GP consultation is from £150 for a full 30 minutes, face to face at the clinic. Blood tests and other investigations, if needed, are charged separately.
Can you issue prescriptions and sick notes?
Yes. Private prescriptions, sick notes and fit notes can be issued during the appointment where it is clinically appropriate. I can also write specialist referral letters. We do not prescribe controlled drugs.
Which languages do you consult in?
English, Greek and Bulgarian. There is no need to bring an interpreter or a family member to translate.
Will my NHS GP find out?
Only if you want them to. With your consent I write to your NHS GP after the appointment so your medical record stays complete and joined up. Without your consent, nothing is shared.
How quickly can I be seen?
Same-day appointments are usually available Monday to Saturday. Message the clinic on WhatsApp if you need to be seen urgently and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Do you see children as well as adults?
Yes. I see adults and children of all ages, from birth. If your child needs to be seen the same day, message the clinic on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether we can fit them in.
