Our Doctors
Two experienced doctors, one location. Between them, Dr Anastasia Mermigka and Dr Georgios Schoinas have 50 years of clinical practice and consult in English, Greek, Italian and Bulgarian.
Every appointment is with one of them — the gynaecologist or the GP, depending on the type of appointment. Consistent specialist care at every visit.

Dr Georgios Schoinas, Private GP
General practitioner (GMC 7632510). Private GP appointments for men, women and children: acute illness, long-term conditions, health checks, medical certificates and blood tests arranged through our laboratory. Consultations in English, Greek and Bulgarian.
Which doctor should I book?
Anything gynaecological, including screening, pelvic pain, bleeding or menopause, goes to Dr Mermigka. General medical problems, certificates and health checks go to Dr Schoinas. If you are not sure, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you which is the better fit.
Consultations in your own language
Between them our doctors consult in English, Greek, Italian and Bulgarian. Explaining symptoms in your own language matters, particularly for gynaecology, and it means nothing is lost through an interpreter.
Imaging during the appointment
Where a scan is relevant, Dr Mermigka performs the pelvic ultrasound herself during the consultation and explains the findings in the room, rather than referring you elsewhere and waiting for a report.
Booking and referrals
Both doctors accept self-referrals. You do not need a GP referral and you do not need to be registered with an NHS practice. Appointments run Monday to Saturday at 1-5 Portpool Lane, London EC1N 7UU.
